Quality Construction:

All of my outdoor furniture is constructed of poplar, which has many of the qualities of pine but is harder and has better grain variety.

All joints are glued and screwed.  I use Gorilla (tm) glue, a 100% waterproof urethane glue, and Deckmate (tm) deck screws.

All painted surfaces use Behr (tm) Premium Plus exterior products with one coat oil base primer and two coats acrylic latex paint.

All stained surfaces use three coats of Minwax (tm) exterior grade polyurethane.
